What is Federal Work-Study?

The Federal Work-Study (FWS) program allows students the opportunity to work part-time on campus to complement and reinforce their educational program or career goals, and to help meet their educational costs.

FWS Supervisors play a vital role in the work-study program offered at FLC. They are responsible for the hiring and training of student employees, completing the necessary paperwork, and submitting monthly timesheets. Supervisors can help students discover the skills and attitudes needed for success in the world of work beyond graduation. They provide an opportunity for growth and development for the students who participate in the work-study program.
