Admissions & Records is dedicated to providing professional, timely, and student-centered service while upholding State regulations and local district and college policies.
Departments within Admissions & Records
Assists students with the admissions process, residency reclassification, and international student admissions.
Evaluators process incoming external official college and high school transcripts, AP test scores, degree audit, degree and certificate petition evaluation and awards, athletic eligibility, and prerequisite clearance for English and math. A&R also ensures that the college is abiding by Title 5 (California Education Code) standards, as well as Los Rios board regulations and policies. All student records are maintained in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
Staff process student record changes, academic renewal and course repetition petitions, degree and enrollment verifications, official FLC transcript order processing and grade changes submitted by faculty.
Assists students with enrolling in classes through eServices and at the A&R counter (adding and dropping classes, eServices assistance, advanced education enrollment, and fee payment).
The college VA certifying official is housed in A&R, where they serve as the liaison between student veterans & dependents and the Department of VA (for educational benefits). The Veterans Success Center is in the PE building – where veterans and dependents go for assistance with their VA educational benefits, as well as anything college-related.
