PD: Starfish Training

Starfish is an early warning and student tracking system designed to increase student retention and success. This online platform allows faculty to provide students with direct feedback about their course performance in the form of kudos, flags, and messages. When an instructor flags a student who may be struggling or facing barriers that make it difficult for the student to succeed in class, appropriate programs and offices are notified so that they can reach out to the student to provide additional support. Attend this training to learn how to use the Starfish software to help support student success.

Hosted by: Molly Senecal and FLC Starfish Team

Meets State Professional Development Guideline B: Staff development, in-service training, and instructional improvement, Guideline F: Related activities, such as student advising, guidance, orientation, matriculation services, and student, faculty, and staff diversity, and Guideline E: Learning resource services.
