Which EC Program Are You?
Date: Tuesday, September 8
Time: 11:00 am to 1:00 pm
Live Quiz, Coffee, & Bagels Vendors for coffee: Ask about Temple, Peets Coffee, Starbucks, Dutch Bros Bagels from Belaire Start your week with coffee, bagels, and a fun interactive quiz! Which EC Program Are You? gives participants a chance to learn more about the Equity Center’s different affinity groups and programs through lighthearted questions about community, interests, values, and campus experiences. After completing the quiz, participants will receive an Equity Center program match and can learn more about the community and resources connected to their result.
University Draft
Date: Wednesday, September 9
Time: 11:00 am to 1:00 pm
University Draft is an interactive transfer engagement activity designed to encourage Folsom Lake College students to think about their future educational goals and explore the possibilities available to them after FLC. Students will browse a display featuring universities and colleges from a variety of pathways, including UCs, CSUs, HBCUs, private universities, out-of-state institutions, and other transfer destinations. Students will select the school they are interested in attending, write their name or place a personalized sticker beneath their chosen university, and see the transfer aspirations of the FLC community grow throughout the week. The display creates an engaging visual representation of where students hope to transfer while encouraging conversations about transfer planning, resources, and support available on campus.
Academic Vision Board
Date: Thursday, September 10
Time: 11:00 am to 3:00 pm
Academic Vision Board is an interactive activity that encourages students to visualize their academic goals, personal aspirations, and future plans. Students will create a personalized vision board representing what they hope to accomplish during their time at Folsom Lake College and beyond. Using magazines, printed images, inspirational words, quotes, stickers, markers, and other creative materials, students can bring their goals to life and create a visual reminder of the future they are working toward.
Make Your Flag
Date: Friday, September 11
Time: 11:00 am to 3:00 pm
Make Your Flag is a creative activity where participants design a flag that reflects who they are. Using colors, symbols, words, and drawings, participants can express their identity, culture, interests, values, experiences, or dreams. It is a fun way to share a little about yourself, learn about others, and celebrate the different identities and experiences that make our campus community unique.
