Conduct issues in the classroom, in virtual education, and on college premises can significantly impact how students view their sense of belonging in the college community and have a lasting impact on students in higher education. In this training, we will discuss academic integrity issues, interpersonal challenges, and violations to the standards of student conduct with the goal of valuing the student, seeking student retention, facilitating behavioral change and allowing the student to be at the center of how we address behavioral violations. We will discuss the need to establish expectations, explore external factors that can influence behaviors, support strategies for helping students during difficult times, and preferred practices for addressing student conduct violations prior to referrals to the Office of Student Conduct.
Attendance at this professional development activity is limited to LRCCD employees and invited participants.
