Folsom Lake College has made an explicit commitment to equity and diversity in the past two years. But what does that look like in action, and what difference has it made? Join colleagues from across the college to reflect on how these values have shaped our college, our teaching, our services, and ourselves. We will begin with a walking tour of some of the spaces where students are welcomed with compassion, creativity, and support. We will then have an opportunity to reflect on the ways that campus culture has changed for both students and employees, and ways that we can encourage and support each other in values-driven work. The discussion will include students, staff, faculty, and administrators, and the responsibility for the discussion will be shared by all participants. We look forward to sharing, listening, and “walking the talk” with you.
Please RSVP to help us best plan for the tour and discussion.
