Home Collegewide Resources DSPS Syllabus Statements

Often students may be reluctant to discuss their disability or have difficulty explaining it. Fear of breaching student confidentiality can make it difficult for faculty to refer a specific student. Please feel free to create your own statement or use the following sample statements in your course syllabus. Additionally, a general announcement made at the beginning of the term inviting students with disabilities to schedule an appointment with you or DSPS is helpful. Thank you for your support!
