When you hear about the Prison Re-Entry and Education Program (PREP) at FLC, you may think it is designed to transform the lives of the students, but that is an inaccurate oversimplification. Rather, this program offers an invitation for legitimate learning through authentic human connection, reminding faculty involved what they entered the profession for and offering a unique professional learning experience with others. We’re all just learning together, growing in our connections with one another, and trying to create an experience that is truly transformative for all, from the students we are trying to serve, to the faculty, classified staff, and administrators who are engaged in this work.
Hosted by: Kalinda Jones and PREP team
Meets State Professional Development Guideline B: Staff development, in-service training, and instructional improvement and Guideline F: Related activities, such as student advising, guidance, orientation, matriculation services, and student, faculty, and staff diversity.
