The Student Equity and Achievement Program was established in 2017-18 with the intent of supporting Guided Pathways and the system wide goal to eliminate achievement gaps (Education Code 78222.) According to CA Ed. Code, the primary object of the student equity plan is "to ensure equal educational opportunities and to promote student success for all students, regardless of race, gender, age, disability, or economic circumstances, the governing board of each community college district shall maintain a student equity plan."
