Get ready for the most egg-straordinary week of the year – Egg Week! That's right, we're not yolking around. And before you ask, yes, we're closed on April 1st (and no, that's not a joke!).
Our mascot, Nova the space bunny, thinks it's pretty egg-citing to have a week filled with eggs. After all, painted eggs and a cute bunny? Now that's what we call an egg-cellent and unheard of pairing! Wonder why no one ever thought of that before… So let's crack into the fun and see what's hatching at the Innovation Center this week.
Community Egg Drop Challenge: This week, we're not just walking on eggshells – we're dropping them from heights! Join our community egg drop and put your egg-ngineering skills to the test. From Tuesday to Thursday morning, you'll have the chance to create a contraption that'll hopefully keep your egg safe. Remember, it's not just about survival; we're looking for those egg-ceptionally creative designs that really come out of their shell.
Get ready for a week packed with egg-citement, creativity, and a bit of friendly competition! It's a perfect way to get out of your shell and maybe even crack a smile or two. Egg puns are also mandatory all week, I don't make the rules. That's all for today, yolks!
Events of the Week
Natural Egg Dyeing
Tuesday, April 2
12:00 to 1:00 pm
It's time to dye laughing! Join us for a session of natural egg dyeing, where we'll use all sorts of natural dyes and fun wrapping techniques. These eggs will be the stars of our egg drop event, but if you want to bring your own eggs to jazz up, we're all for it. Be sure to make yours egg-stra special!
Egg Drop Event
Thursday, April 4
12:30 to 1:30 pm
Ready, set, drop! It's time to see which eggs can survive the fall and which ones crack under pressure. Can't make it to the egg-citing conclusion? Don't worry; we can drop and record for you. While your egg surviving the fall is the main goal, we will also be having a community vote on the best designs. To be in the voting, we will need your project early Thursday morning or left with us on Wednesday.
