Maker Week at the Innovation Center

Join us for Maker Week, a celebration of creativity and ingenuity at the Innovation Center! This week is dedicated to all the incredible makers in our community who craft, invent, and inspire. It’s our way of saying thanks and showcasing the diverse talents that thrive here.

Week-Long Activity: Dive into the week with our community Rube Goldberg machine project! We're tasking everyone with adding their unique touch to create an elaborate setup aimed at launching a paper airplane. Utilize the tools and materials from our makerspace to contribute to this wonderfully complex and overengineered contraption.

Fashion Show Workshop Day

Day: Wednesday, April 17
Time: All Day

A full day for fashion designers to refine their creations, collaborate, and share expertise before the fashion show deadline. Not designing? No problem! Drop by to pick up new skills, get inspired, or kick-start a project of your own.

Open Mic Night Wednesday

Day: April 17
Time: 4:30 pm

Ready for the spotlight? Our Open Mic Night is your chance to shine, whether it’s through music, poetry, or some stand-up. Sign up with an Innovation Center staff member or on the day for a time slot and enjoy an evening of community talents.

Maker Showcase

Day: Thursday, April 18
Time: 5:00 to 7:00 pm

Spotlight on our makers! This showcase is a prime opportunity for our creative community members to display their projects and discuss the ins and outs of their making process. Expect to see a variety of creations, learn about different materials and tools, and yes, enjoy some pizza while you’re at it. Sign-ups are open if you want to join, all projects welcome.
